I have yet to meet a married person who hasn't asked why we didn't start Singles & The City sooner. Married, divorced, Therapist, Counselors, all agree that being single is the opportune time to start digging deep, tying up loose ends, and welcoming self-awareness.

May 2014 in Dallas, Texas - Singles & The City was birthed from a personal frustration of wanting MORE to single life than a night out bowling and once a year Singles Conference. We believed it in 2014 and even more so now - singles need a consistent and relevant community for accountability to go through healing and the process of self awareness in Christ before marriage. Hosting over 200 events in Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Detroit has granted us 6 successful marriages and countless relationships between members. We understand that "there's more to being single - than dating".

Our events empower you to become self-aware, get to the root of your issues, heal and fully recover, enabling you to thrive in every area of your life. We host national exclusive member - only events that facilitate real conversation, connection and accountability with some of the most influential people you'll ever meet. Being “unmarried” is much easier when you UNDERSTAND who you are. This isn't a movement - this is a mindshift.

A force to be reckoned with, Stephanie unapolgetically leads the charge for self-awareness in single and dating professionals. Her mission; " There's more to being single than dating". She believes that one's single life should be a well-rounded and fulfilling experience that involves a great deal of self-awareness, sober thinking, and healthy decision making.

The year was 2014. After having escaped a "red-flag" relationship, Stephanie realized inner work needed to be done and she decided to accept responsibility and take action to endure the process of self-actualization.

Longing for the perfect community with accountability that would assist her on the journey - the need was clear. While quick solutions were being provided by dating apps and Matchmakers; there wasn't a focus solely on the importance of personal development PRIOR to dating. Singles needed a welcoming and safe environment to identify the roots of unhealthy decision making, and be accountable to change for the better.

Since the 2014 launch of Singles & The City - she has expanded to 5 cities in less than 4 years. Dallas, Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit...and coming to a city near you. 4 healthy marriages have been birthed, along with hundreds of successful platonic, business and romantic relationships.

Although watching her from afar looks seamless, she’s the first to be transparent about being a full-time Entrepreneur. Stephanie has the poise and toughness to navigate all situations and the compassion to see the value and good in all situations. After having nearly losing everything – Stephanie slept on friend’s sofas and used LYFT to her own events. Her resilience opened 2 new chapters of Singles & The City in Los Angeles and Chicago.

First-generation American, with family roots from Suriname, South America – she was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Cass Tech Alumni, Stephanie studied Anthropology and Jewish Studies at Michigan State University before moving to Dallas, TX.

She frequently enjoys public speaking engagements centered around business, self-awareness through Jesus Christ, and submitting to unforeseen processes of life. Her desire is that singles come to a place of true repentance and practice a lifestyle that mirrors one Christ is proud of. Life is much easier when you follow the perfect roadmap God has for you. When she's not hosting or speaking at an event around the country; you can find her strolling the aisles of Sur la Table; indulging in a new recipe, traveling to Holland, or hanging out with her pup, Zoe St. Laurent. Stephanie is single, and can't wait to share her life with an incredible husband some day soon :)
